About the Event

Journey into the Cove

Words can barely capture the essence of "The Cove." Tucked away along the scenic Little Sequatchie River, Coppinger Cove is a hidden gem and is the ultimate destination for East Coast off-roading enthusiasts. It’s a place of raw beauty and untamed wilderness, reserved for those ready to take on its challenges.

Here, nature unveils its wonders: shimmering turquoise pools that sparkle under the sun, colossal caves begging to be explored, waterfalls that seem to dissolve into mist, and rugged trails that test the limits of even the most prepared adventurers. Our journey will uncover every breathtaking secret this natural wonderland has to offer.

Envision yourself camping near the mouth of a massive cave, where the stars create an endless tapestry overhead. Picture plunging into pristine swimming holes, enveloped by the soothing sounds of untouched wilderness. And get ready for off-roading that pushes the boundaries of excitement and exploration.

Are you ready to experience The Cove? Venture Unknown invites you on a three-day adventure like no other. Brace yourself for the thrill of the trails, the awe of nature’s splendor, and the bonds forged with fellow explorers. The Cove is calling – will you answer?

Ride Itinerary:

  • Thursday Feb 27th (Rally Day): Rally point will be shared via email and within team chat. Approximate rally point is Sequatchie, Tn. @ 5pm.  After a quick introduction, we’ll head to the trail and pitch camp early along the route.

  • Friday through Sunday: Each morning begins with a driver’s meeting, followed by venturing deeper into The Cove. This routine will repeat daily. In order to make it out of the Cove by Sunday afternoon we must push on some of the days. We do our best to balance this. Fri is typically a long day and Sat is typically a shorter day. Remember…..this is a solid VU4 event.

  • Sunday Mar 2nd: We should exit the trail at Coalmont OHV APPROXIMATELY @ noon.

Daily Routine:

  • 7:00 AM: Wake up, prepare breakfast, and pack up..

  • 8:30 AM: Driver’s meeting.

  • 8:45 AM: Wheels up and back on the trail. Bring your adventurous spirit – every day will be a new challenge filled with surprises!

Difficulty Level: VU4 (The Venture Unknown)

Expectations: This adventure is rated for experienced off-roaders with properly equipped rigs. Prepare for unpredictable camp arrival times, long trail days, inevitable pinstripes, wheel rash, potential but not inevitable body damage, and water crossings with varying depths. This is a true test of capability and resilience, offering the most rewarding kind of adventure. If water levels exceed safe travel there will be a plan B itinerary. We watch river gauges leading up to this event.
